Prof. Wilhelm is the founder and Medical Director of proDERM. With a special passion for skin physiological and imaging research procedures, he has dedicated himself to issues in the field of dermatotoxicology and dermatopharmacology, as well as the effect of medicines and cosmetics on the skin. This passion led to the founding of proDERM in 1994. Since then, Prof. Wilhelm has been holding the rudder of proDERM firmly in his hands and setting the strategic direction of the company. He is the contact person for medical and scientific issues for employees and customers. Clinical studies conducted under the Medicines and Medical Devices Acts are also within his field of responsibility. Prof. Wilhelm holds an honorary professorship at the University of Franche-Comté (UFC) in Besançon, France. He is a member of numerous professional associations and the author or co-author of over 100 technical papers and the co-editor of 7 books.
As Vice President Science & Innovation, Stephan Bielfeldt is responsible, on the one hand, for new methods development, and on the other hand for the areas of Business Development, Quality Management, Data Operations and the Division ‘Development and Technical Services’. Mr. Bielfeldt has been active in the field of cosmetic research for more than 20 years. His interests include the development of in vivo test methods, and he possesses special expertise in the field of sun protection testing. He is a member of professional societies and scientific working groups such as the Section for Sun Protection, Skin Care and Hair Treatment of the German Association for Scientific and Applied Cosmetics (DGK). In addition, he is a founding member of the Colipa Task Force on Sun Protection Measurement (1987).
Ms. Marianne Brandt is Director Operations and with that responsible for the Divisions ‘Claims’ and ‘Innovation’. That means she is on the one hand responsible for all studies carried out according to well-established protocols or accepted guidelines and directives. On the other hand she leads those teams engaged in adapted and fully customized studies. She is also our expert on biophysical measurements of the hair. She advises customers with regard to claims, study designs, and study planning. She is also intensively involved in tolerability studies of cosmetic products, consumer goods, and dietary supplements.
A high level of scientific curiosity and extensive expertise in conducting and planning clinical trials – Bernd Brormann brings exactly what he needs in his position as Director of Clinical Research. Mr. Brormann has been active in clinical research for more than 18 years and is your primary contact for clinical projects that are carried out according to the German Medicines and Medical Devices Act. He will gladly provide you with his experience in the management of multi- and mono-centric, national and international studies of different phases to make your projects a success. He is a visionary leader who builds enthusiastic teams and overcomes hurdles with results-oriented thinking as well as an inspired vision for growth opportunities.

Dr. Gunja Springmann enriches us with her expertise in the field of clinical studies since 2005, first as project manager and senior project manager, since 2015 as head of the business development department. In this position, Gunja coordinates the response to customer inquiries. She advises on issues relating to concepts, possible claims and study designs and their implementation, and she and her team are your contact persons at trade fairs and congresses.
Sandra Bleckwenn is Business Development Manager and with proDERM since 2013. During her 2 years in project management for claims support studies, she developed her passion for customer consultancy. As a project manager, she was primarily responsible for studies on the skin compatibility of cosmetic products and the efficacy of antiperspirants and deodorants. However, inquiries about other types of studies are also very welcome to her and it goes without saying that her advice is competent and a customer-oriented.
Dr. Alexandra Erlach is a Business Development Manager. She started her proDERM career in 2004, at that time as a project manager. Alexandra is experienced in managing studies of cosmetics, medical devices as well as early phases of medicinial products. Hence she can easily shift perspective and put herself in our clients’ place. Thus, she can advise you in the best possible, goal-oriented manner. Alexandra has expert knowledge in the fields of wound healing, sensitive skin, oral care and GCP as well as managing clinical trials with medical devices.
Florence Bruneau is a Business Development Manager and has been a part of the proDERM team since 2014. Florence has been dealing with cosmetic products and their evaluation in the context of clinical studies for more than 20 years, having worked, on the one hand, for various, well-known manufacturers in different positions. On the other hand, she has also been able to glean experience in contract research institutions. Florence is the primary contact person for the regions of France, Spain, and the UK.
