FAQ Covid-19

Our extended hygiene and safety concept has been designed to ensure the well-being of our subjects and employees while maintaining the study procedures. In includes general measures to master the challenges that arise with Covid-19. Specific questions related to Covid-19 and the consequences for study conduct are summarized in a FAQ.

6.1.2021

On Jan. 5, 2021, representatives of the federal and state governments agreed to extend the lockdown with stricter regulations. The new measures will come into force on Jan. 11, 2021, and are limited in time until Jan. 31, 2021. A reassessment of the situation is to be carried out on Jan. 25, 2021.

As we were already able to communicate in our statement of 18.12.2020, our study operations are not affected by these measures. Adhering to the strictest hygiene and safety precautions, we continue to conduct studies and plan to introduce new projects. For this, please feel free to contact our ‘Business Development’ department at bd@proDERM.de. If you have any questions about ongoing studies, please contact your project manager.

18.12.2020

In order to prevent a further escalation of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the German federal and state governments have agreed on a tightened lockdown, initially limited to the period from 16.12.20 to 10.01.21. The extent to which this period will be extended will depend on a reassessment of the situation announced for early January.

Quite apart from the duration of the once again tightened measures, we would like to state that even under the current conditions we will continue our operations responsibly until the start of our company vacations on 24.12.20 and resume in the New Year as planned on 4.01.21.

What does this mean for current and planned projects? We plan to conduct projects with ‘study in progress’ status and scheduled studies as agreed. In general, there are very few study types that we cannot perform due to current regulations. You can find out which studies are affected in the FAQ section on the website.

Covid-19 Management

Measures to protect employees, subjects and partners

With a sophisticated hygiene and safety concept, which we have developed taking into account the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute and legal requirements, we are fighting the pandemic and protecting the health of our employees, subjects and partners. It includes a pandemic plan, an extended hygiene and safety plan and guidelines for the use of an antigen test. It provides for the company-wide application of the AHA-L rules, i.e:

  • Persons must keep their distance from each other
  • Extended hygiene measures must be applied
  • A mouth and nose protector must be worn
  • Premises must be ventilated regularly

It describes differentiated protective measures for test persons, visitors and employees. Furthermore, the installation of pandemic commissioners is part of our concept. They continuously check the concept with regard to changing conditions and adapt it if necessary.

On this page we will soon provide general information about our corona management. We have summarised specific questions in an FAQ section.
