With the acquisition of SGS proderm GmbH by the SGS Group, Prof. Dr. med. Prof. h.c. As a result of the SGS Group's acquisition of proderm in July 2022, the founders and former owners, dermatologist Prof. Dr. med. Prof. h.c. Klaus-Peter Wilhelm and Dr. Dorothea Wilhelm, will depart the company as planned on June 30, 2023. It is through the entrepreneurial spirit and immense personal dedication of Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm that the institute has grown into a leading global contract research organization (CRO) for dermatological clinical trials.
The management level of SGS proderm has now been restructured: Marianne Brandt, the former COO, and Dr. Gunja Springmann, the former Head of Scientific Consulting, together with Dr. Sheida Hönlinger as managing director, will coordinate the strategic development of SGS proderm GmbH. They will have a powerful team at their disposal, which, with its medical-scientific expertise, is able to meet even the most demanding challenges of dermatological contract research.
Marianne Brandt, as the Division Manager for Cosmetics, will be responsible for overseeing the Consumer Care unit's overall operations, which focuses on conducting studies involving cosmetics, food supplements, and consumer products. In addition, she will assume the management of other German sites within SGS's "Cosmetics & Hygiene" division, which also conduct studies involving cosmetic products.
As the Division Manager for Medical, Dr. Gunja Springmann will spearhead the strategic and conceptual direction of the Medical Unit, overseeing its planned growth in the field of clinical trials involving medicinal products and medical devices.
As Director Health Science Germany, Cosmetics & Hygiene, Dr. Sheida Hönlinger assumes executive responsibility at SGS proderm.
In the global network of the SGS Group, they will continue the course set by the Wilhelm couple together, combining innovative technologies and scientific methods in a quality-oriented approach to deliver unique study performance.
